Our Standards
SuperCalc strives to provide accurate, practical, and easy-to-understand calculators and explanations. Each page aims to deliver clear formulas, step-by-step guidance, worked examples, and FAQs tailored to real user questions.
Creation & Review Process
- Authoring: Pages use a SuperCalc team byline and should explain the relevant formula, inputs, and assumptions.
- Checks: Builds and targeted reviews check calculator behavior, units, content structure, and technical SEO. Review depth varies by page.
- Updates: We revise tools when issues, rule changes, source changes, or usability problems are identified. An old page should not be assumed current without checking its date and sources.
Sources & Citations
When applicable, we reference primary sources (e.g., IRS, US Dept. of Energy, Bureau of Labor Statistics, academic texts). Examples are illustrative and may simplify edge cases. We avoid copying third‑party content and aim for original, explanatory writing.
E‑E‑A‑T & Transparency
- Examples: We use worked scenarios to explain how inputs affect results.
- Methods: Pages should state formulas and assumptions where they materially affect the result.
- Sources: We link to primary or reputable references where a changing factual claim needs support.
